Choosing the right one is a brilliant move and an excellent display of one’s sound mind.

Our choices reflect our wisdom and reveal our hearts. What we choose today affects our life in the future. You are here for that very reason.  Your desire to affect your future for the ministry.  Your future will show what we have in mind and heart today.  This is a simple and clear principle of sowing and reaping. What you will reap in the future will surely uncover what you sow in the present. The warning here is very clear.  We are being warned that we should not to take the risk of making questionable choices in life. Making decision is sensitive and critical. Every decision that you make in this very important time of training, is very sensitive.  That is why, you need the help of God. It is the most important thing, to consider the will of God in making any decision. We must submit our will to Him. That is the way that we show our trust in the Lord for our future.  He can give the best of everything for His children. On the other hand, it is so risky for us to follow the desires of our deceitful heart. People will advise you to just follow your heart.  Or they say, what does your heart say. We should not let our old man have a part or control our mind in making decisions for our future for the Lord.

President of BBS: Rev. Dennis Ebert

Our Heavenly Father wants us to have a life that is lived for His honor and glory. As a father to his children, God wants us to listen to His counsel and obey Him with love. He knows the future and even holds our future. God wants us to become obedient to His words and enjoy His abundant blessings as we serve Him.

Proverbs chapter 4 v.1 Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. v.2  For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law. v.5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

This chapter is a very relevant part of the Scriptures for you to read and understand.  In this chapter, you can find great help about how to make good and godly choices for our spiritual advancement.  God has a special plan for everyone this coming school year. We strongly believe that the only way we can fulfill God’s blessed will, is by hearing and obeying His Word consistently.

The best way to start is to consider James 1:21, Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

I am going to give you an assignment as a student.  This is not for class but for you to develop your time here. I want you to take time for yourself to read the Proverbs 4 that I am going to mention here.

I.We Need Wisdom (Proverbs 4:1-11)
II. Avoid The Path Of The Wicked (Proverbs 4:14-17, 19)
III. Choose The Path Of The Just (Proverbs 4:11-14)

As you read that chapter, you should let those lessons grow in you as you take the path of the just.  I would pray that you will experience the abiding presence of the Lord.  Your spiritual growth and fruitfulness depend on how you treasure those Bible principles in your every day life.  You are going to be profitable for the Lord if you will continually follow them.

You will hear many things and receive many guidelines in you time here. Things of how to serve the Lord better.  How to live your life in ministry for the Lord.  I will challenge you that you should not forget all the warnings that you will hear.  That is one of the ways that can keep your true purpose of life for the Lord and that it will never be damaged.  Your desire should always be that you can continually fulfill your walk in the path of righteousness. Always remember that the fear of God is the key to sound wisdom, and right choices is a result of the Spirit-filled mind.

Challenging the Students

Here are some suggestions that you can find in the Word of God for you as you face the problems that will come along. We can’t control the circumstance of life but we can control how we will respond to them.  So here are some suggestions for all the events that will happen to you.
“If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.
Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God.
Painful moments, trust God.
Every moment, thank God.
Don’t just hear about God’s blessing, Experience it.
In all the times of Life, Claim the Promises of God
Through all your life, Obey the Word of God.”
